Hence, nations with different civilizations and religions would hardly adopt the same system of calendar. On Saturday, October
13th, Turkish-American community got together at Grand Plaza Hotel's Sam Houston
Ballroom to celebrate the Eid (Bayram). Around 1000 attended and imam Mustafa
Yigit recited verses from Quran beautifully and delivered his moving sermon both
in English and in Turkish as well. Festivities followed by a delicious breakfast
on site and all children present were gifted by being invited to the stage.

Citadel Foundation booth at the Turkic Festival was visited by many festival attendees. Visitors to the booth were given a free gift and an opportunity to sign up for a Ramadan dinner with a family
